R Sheaves is an alt-folk/rock project led by Corner Brook-based composer and songwriter Robert Humber. They released their debut album “MARY SPINS” via Milltown Records in March 2025. That album was nominated for 3 MusicNL awards: Folk Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Rising Artist. As a composer, Robert has written music for ballet, orchestras, soloists, installations and more. R Sheaves really grew out of a desire to blend aspects of his more abstract and left-field leanings with his early roots in folk, rock, and singer-songwriter music. In live settings, R Sheaves often culminates in a full 4-piece rock band. Here at TTT, the duo of Robert and the wonderful violinist Jessica Pereversoff will be performing some stripped-back arrangements of their tunes, leaning into the softer, folkier side of their music.
